MEET THE FOUNDER

 Gina Armstrong, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi! I’m Gina, a licensed Medical Speech-Language Pathologist and FEES Endoscopist with over a decade of experience. I have scoped over 1,000 patients in various medical settings and am passionate about my work.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Alabama in 2003 and attended graduate school at the University of Montevallo, obtaining a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2006. My special interest is in dysphagia, or swallowing disorders.

I obtained the knowledge and skills required by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) to perform FEES in 2011, studying under Dr. Robert J. Arnold in Birmingham, AL. I also completed additional FEES training with SA Swallowing Services, PLLC of Nashville, TN in 2012.

I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA and am licensed in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. My continuing education includes the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment, and VitalStim.

My professional affiliations include ASHA’s Special Interest Group #13 for Swallowing Disorders, and the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders.
